Social media: better or worse then the real thing?

I chose to do my project on the analysis of social media: better or worse than the real thing? social media became in recent years an integral part of our lives. There are countless social platforms that are supposed to help people socialize but at the same time, it seems like social media has taken our real social lives from us as we all so busy with our smartphones nonstop. It became so hard to distinguish what is real and what isn't. Through my research, I would like to state the advantages and disadvantages that social media has brought into our lives, as well as the progress of how and when social media has become such an integrated part of human beings' lives. I think it is very important for people to know more about how social media is influencing our lives and also what are the ways to use it safely.
