Social media: better or worse then the real thing?

I chose to do my project on the analysis of social media: better or worse than the real thing?
social media became in recent years an integral part of our lives. There are countless social platforms that are supposed to help people socialize but at the same time, it seems like social media has taken our real social lives from us as we all so busy with our smartphones nonstop. It became so hard to distinguish what is real and what isn't. Through my research, I would like to state the advantages and disadvantages that social media has brought into our lives, as well as the progress of how and when social media has become such an integrated part of human beings' lives. I think it is very important for people to know more about how social media is influencing our lives and also what are the ways to use it safely.

Blog v Wiki

Blogs are generally more subjective and are written from the authors perspective. The content that is usually shared on it is personal, verses Wikis that are a more formal version of a blog where everyone can edit it and add content to it. Therefore, both the information we get from Blogs and from Wikis is subjective and we don't know how reliable it is. These days Wikis can be more relevant because the information we have on almost any subject in the world is constantly changing and being able to edit that information helps keep it updated and relevant, for example- Wikipedia.  It is easy to collaborate with other people both using blogs and wikis because people can get involved, comment on posts, and contribute to the content.
