Creativity and New Media

For this assignment, I chose to create my own "bitmoji" character.  In order to create a "bitmoji" character all you need to do is to download the bitmoji app and to take a selfie. The process of creating it is very simple and takes only a few seconds. There are many customization options on this app so you could create a bitmoji that looks exactly like you. The customization options are: to select a skin tone, select a hairstyle and color, size and shape of your face, eye color, eyebrows shape and color, eyelashes, and even forehead lines so it will look as real as possible. The final stage of creating your bitmoji is to upgrade it with some makeup if you want to. In addition, there is a lot of outfits you can choose from.
There are so many different characteristics and options on this app so you could find the exact one that fits your look and make it real as possible. I really like this app and find it very enjoyable to play with it and create many different versions of me.

Blog v Wiki

Blogs are generally more subjective and are written from the authors perspective. The content that is usually shared on it is personal, verses Wikis that are a more formal version of a blog where everyone can edit it and add content to it. Therefore, both the information we get from Blogs and from Wikis is subjective and we don't know how reliable it is. These days Wikis can be more relevant because the information we have on almost any subject in the world is constantly changing and being able to edit that information helps keep it updated and relevant, for example- Wikipedia.  It is easy to collaborate with other people both using blogs and wikis because people can get involved, comment on posts, and contribute to the content.
